Premamati Mosque

The Premamati Mosque, also called Pema Mati Mosque, Ibrahim Bagh Mosque or Qutb Shahi Masjid, stands in the Ibrahim Bagh area of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. According to the available sources, it was built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah. It is noted as an architectural precursor to the Makkah Masjid and for its place in the unfinished urban planning of the Golconda Sultanate. In 2014 UNESCO added it, together with other sites in the region, to its tentative World Heritage list under the title Monuments and Forts of the Deccan Sultanate.

The mosque was built under Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah of the Golconda Sultanate. Sources differ on the timing: one places it in the 16th century, while another states that construction was completed in the 17th century. It is considered an architectural forerunner of the Makkah Masjid and is linked to the Golconda Sultanate's urban planning, which was left unfinished.

In 2014 UNESCO placed the mosque on its tentative list for World Heritage status, alongside other sites, under the name Monuments and Forts of the Deccan Sultanate.
