The Sidi Bashir Mosque is a former Sufi mosque in Ahmedabad, in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is now partly in ruins, and only the central gateway and two minarets remain standing. These are known as the Jhulta Minar, or Shaking Minarets, and are also called the Jhaltar Minar. The three-storey minarets carry intricate decoration and are regarded as a notable example of Indo-Islamic architecture. According to the sources, a gentle push on the upper part of one minaret makes it sway, and after a few seconds the other minaret vibrates as well, while the passage connecting them stays still. The structure is designated a Monument of National Importance. It stands on Station Road, near Revdi Bazar.

Our record gives 1452 as the year of construction, while one source dates the Jhulta Minar to 1461. Over time the mosque fell into partial ruin, and only the gateway and the two minarets survive today.

According to popular belief, the Jhulta Minar was built to give early warning of earthquakes. The reason for the minarets' vibration is described in the source as an unsolved puzzle.

The Sidi Bashir Mosque is a former Sufi mosque, now in partial ruins in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Only the central gateway and two minarets survive; they are known as the Jhulta Minar or Shaking Minarets. The structure is a Monument of National Importance.

The Jhulta Minar, a part of the Siddi Bashir Mosque, is a notable example of Indo-Islamic architecture built in 1461 CE. The three-storey tall structure, with intricate designs on each of the minarets, is known for swaying when minimal force is applied to its uppermost arc. A gentle shaking of either minaret results in the vibration of the other minaret after a few seconds, though the connecting passage remains free of any vibration. This unconventional structure is a mystery, unsolved by engineers. According to popular belief, the Jhulta Minar was built to receive early signals of earthquakes.
