The Juma Mosque of Nakhchivan, also called the Friday Mosque, was one of the monumental buildings of the Atabegs' Architectural Complex in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan. It is no longer a functioning mosque. The building was demolished in the 20th century, but it is documented in images and photographs from the 19th century. Our records link it to the Nakhchivan-Maragha school of architecture. Its walls contained two pointed arches, as in the mosques of Marand and Urmia, and a dome is mentioned over its cubic southern part. These features are taken to show that a new local type of mosque had emerged and developed in central Azerbaijan in the 12th century.
