The Batumi Mosque stands in Batumi, in Georgia's Adjara region, a city that is home to a sizable Muslim community. Located at 6 Chabua Amirejibi Street, it is known in Georgian as the Batumi Central Mosque or Orta Jame. The popular name, meaning "Jamia in the middle", refers to the fact that the building once stood between two other mosques that have not survived. The mosque dates from 1886 and is recorded as cultural heritage in Georgia.

According to the Arabic Wikipedia, the mosque was commissioned in 1886 by the family of Aslan Beg, described as a Muslim figure from the Georgian nobility. The same source states that the walls were painted by the Laz brothers.
The mosque's popular name, "the Jamia in the middle", reflects its former position between two other mosques that no longer exist.
