Bademlik Mosque stands in the centre of Edirne, in the Yeni İmaret neighbourhood. It is also known as Hıdırlık Mosque, Emir Hüseyin Mosque and Emir Şah Mosque. In its plan, building materials and techniques, facade arrangement, ornamentation and minaret placement, it is regarded as a typical example of early Ottoman architecture, comparable to buildings in Edirne, Bursa, İznik and Amasya. The mosque has a square plan and a single dome, with a cradle vault over the prayer area at the rear. The minaret rises at the northern end of the west wall; its shaft alternates one course of cut stone with three courses of brick. The qibla wall and both side walls each have three windows, two on the lower level and one above.
