The Al Fateh Grand Mosque stands in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, on the Al Fatih Highway. It is also known as the Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre. Arabic sources describe it as the largest mosque in Bahrain and one of the largest in the world. Its area is given as roughly 6,500 square metres, and it can hold 7,000 worshippers at once. The mosque takes its name from Ahmed al-Fateh, who is said to have conquered Bahrain. The German source refers to the building in the past tense and notes its use as the home of the country's national library.

The mosque is associated with Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the late Emir of Bahrain, who had it built. The Arabic source dates its construction to 1988, while the German source gives 1987; the record states 1988. It was named after Ahmed al-Fateh, the conqueror of Bahrain. In 2006 the building became the site of the National Library of Bahrain.
