The Saheb Ettabaâ Mosque, also known as the Youssef Saheb Al Tabaa Mosque, stands in the Halfaouine area of Tunis and is a listed historical monument of Tunisia. Our record dates its construction to 1814. It is described as the last Ottoman mosque built in Tunis and the last great mosque raised in the city before the French protectorate was established in 1881. Unlike the Hanafi mosques founded by beys or deys, it was built by a minister of mamluk origin.
