The Islamic Cultural Center of New York is a mosque and cultural center at 1711 Third Avenue in Manhattan, between East 96th and East 97th Streets. It stands on the northeast corner of East 96th Street and Third Avenue, on the boundary between East Harlem and the Upper East Side. It is described as the first mosque built in New York City, and it remains one of the largest in the city. The postmodern building is set at an angle of about 29 degrees to the surrounding streets. According to the material, the architects chose this layout with Turkish mosques in mind, both to set the building apart from its surroundings and to point its mihrab toward the Kaaba in Mecca.

The center is regarded as the first mosque constructed in New York City, and the record gives 1991 as its year of construction. The congregation's earlier prayer site, a freestanding house at 1 Riverside Drive, is still used for prayer as a branch location.
