The Minaret in Érd stands in Pest County, Hungary, in the old settlement quarter known as Ófalu. An example of Ottoman architecture, it is built of limestone and rises about 23 metres. It is the surviving part of the former Hamza Bey Mosque, and the record associates the name with Hamza-beg Biharović. Of the mosque, only the minaret and the mihrab remain today. The tower is one of just three Ottoman-era minarets still standing in Hungary, the others being in Eger and Pécs. It stands alone beside the trace of an ancient Roman military road, which is still called Mosque Street.

According to the sources, the minaret was built in the 17th century, during Ottoman rule, as part of a mosque constructed by Ottoman Muslims. The mosque itself has not survived; only the minaret and the mihrab remain.
