El-Abbasi Mosque stands in Rosetta (Rashid), in Egypt's Beheira Governorate, close to the banks of the Nile. The building serves both as a mosque and as a mausoleum, and it takes its name from Sayyid Mohammed Al-Abbasi, whose tomb is located inside. It is found on Al Sekat Al Gadida Street. Arabic sources also remember it as one of the mosques from which the calls of Rosetta's fighters rose, the local defenders who defeated the Fraser campaign.
